It is not easy being a photojournalist.very often photojournalist must have to risk their lives to bring news back,so that people can be kept informed about what is going on .Through photograph they take,they are able to give information regarding events that have transferred in the world.we are offered a glimpse of different people they do ,places and other things through the images.thus,makes us more aware of the society and it's status.

When sorting through the shoot ,go over the material at least twice,looking carefully for photos with information,impact,strong focal points,action,clear backgrounds,good framing,strong composition and sharp focus.Keep in mind that the impact of an image will change when it is enlarged .Be careful when dealing with sensitive issues.Use of photos of tragedy,violence,and grief only after deciding they don't cross ethical boundaries.Remember that a single photo isn't the only way to present the story,sometimes two or even three photos working together will do a better job.

Pictures and captions are allies in communication .The words should explain & interpret,not describe the photo.the most common common error,visual/verbal,can be avoided with only a little mare effort than it takes to write a poor caption.Include facts,and if possible a quote in your captions.Keep tenses logical and double check facts.Be sure the facts in the outline are consistent with the facts in the photo.

In conclusion,the word photojournalism also indicates what is required of you.You must be both a photograher and a journalist.You must be a master of the technical and visual means of communicating with a camera,and you must also have the instincts of a reporter for news values,emphasis and significance.And ideally,you should be able to used both communicative tools,words and pictures
